- You can use these disposable aluminum pans and avoid washing a pot or baking dish.
- It has a lot of flavor. Brown rice can seem bland on its own but a little bit of vegetable broth and some spices make a big difference.
brown rice vs. white rice
Both brown rice and white rice are great side dishes and they each have their own benefits.
Brown rice is a whole grain that contains the original parts of the grain, while white rice is processed to be softer and cook faster.
If you’re looking for a high-fiber, filling, and nutrient-packed side dish, brown rice is your best bet.
Alternatively, on a day that you’ve already had a lot of fiber, you may opt for white rice instead.
What to serve with baked golden brown rice:
- For a pretty classic dinner simply add chicken and vegetables.
- Sauté some ground beef, onions, and peppers, and add them to the rice. Top it with your favorite sauce.
- Fry some canned beans with cumin, coriander, and paprika. Add them to the rice and you’ll have beans and rice.
- Salmon and rice bowls are a more exciting way to have protein and vegetables with the rice.
- Use the leftover rice to make fried rice.
how to meal preP It:
Even though rice doesn’t take too long to make, having it ready to be cooked is helpful.
The day before you plan to serve the rice place all of the ingredients in a baking dish. Then just cover it with foil, and place it in the fridge. The next day all you need to do is preheat the oven and bake the rice.
