How to make teriyaki mushrooms:
Sauté onions and mushrooms in a non-stick skillet until they’re translucent and soft.
Make the teriyaki sauce by adding soy sauce, honey, sugar, and sesame oil to a bowl.
Remove the mushrooms from the pan and add the sauce to the pan.
Bring the sauce to a boil and add the mushrooms back in.
Simmer until the mushrooms are soft.

what kind of mushrooms to use:
The best mushrooms for this recipe are white mushrooms, baby Bella mushrooms, or portabella mushrooms.
Any thick mushrooms will work, just make sure to cook them for long enough that they soften.
Although we sliced the mushrooms for this recipe, you can keep them whole or even just slice them in half.

Quick and Easy Teriyaki Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 package of mushrooms, sliced (10 ounces)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons corn starch
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill (optional)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the onions and mushrooms.
- Sauté for around five minutes or until the onions and mushrooms have softened a little bit. Stir occasionally.
- Make the sauce by adding the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and sesame oil to a bowl. Mix well.
- In a separate small bowl mix the cornstarch and hot water. Add it to the soy sauce mixture and mix everything well.
- Remove the mushrooms and onions from the pot and add the sauce to the pot.
- Bring the sauce to a boil and then lower the flame. Cook for around two minutes, then add the mushrooms to the pan.
- Cook for around 25 minutes mixing occasionally until the mushrooms are cooked all the way.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and dill and serve.
