Healthy Apple Pear Crisp
Ingredients
- 3 Honeycrisp apples
- 2 soft pears
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Wash the fruits well leaving on the peel, slice thinly, and place in a baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Add the lemon juice and cinnamon to the fruits and mix well.
- Combine nuts, shredded coconut, honey, olive oil, and salt in a food processor and mix until well combined.
- Cover the fruit with the nut mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the nuts are golden brown.
I don’t like coconut. What can I substitute for it?
You can skip the coconut. It adds flavor for those who like coconut but it can be made without it.
You can use candied pecans instead if you’d like.
